What To Expect

Chiropractic – Initial Visit

Please set aside an hour for your first visit. When you first arrive, you will be asked to complete a basic patient history form so that we can understand the details of your health.

If you have any previous X-rays or imaging that have been taken please bring them with you. Dr Chana will then escort you to the examination room before going through your patient history form and discussing your health goals. If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to ask them at any time, and Dr Chana will answer them with her expert knowledge.

Dr Chana will then conduct a thorough examination, including neurological, orthopaedic and chiropractic tests. Our tests are non invasive and painless. At this point it may be decided that imaging is required. If this is the case the X-rays will be taken right there in the clinic.

Lastly, you will be asked to book a Report of Findings visit, where Dr Chana will relate her official findings from the X-rays and assessments with you.

Chiropractic – Report of Findings Visit

In this session, Dr Chana will talk you through her findings and present you with an individualised “Report of Findings”. She will also discuss her recommendations for care, including frequency of visits and any information that may be required, including nutritional or postural tips.

If there are no complications, we’ll go straight into making you better and begin your first treatment. This will include soft tissue work and gentle chiropractic adjustments, all of which are gentle and safe. Dr Chana will talk you through each adjustment.

Chiropractic – Standard

Subsequent visits will generally focus on how your body has adapted since the previous treatment. Your treatment will be adapted or repeated depending on how your body has reacted. As you progress further with your chiropractic treatment, Dr Chana will prescribe more exercises and stretches for you to do at home, to prevent problems from occurring again.
